Mookie’s Brother and Sisters

Mookie RelaxingMookie lives with his 4 sister’s and 2 brothers in Patchogue, NY.  He was adopted from the North Shore Animal Shelter in 2007.  He is  the king of the roost and loves attention.  We always find him waiting for us at the door waiting for a belly rub!

Cleopatra….Queen of the Castle

Cleopatra or Cleo is our latest cat addition.  Her human Mom passed away recently and she was going to have to go to a shelter since her original Mom couldn’t take her back due to her daughter’s allergy issues.  Cleo loves attention and immediately made a claim on our bedroom as her own domain.  She is a purebreed Ragdoll cat and loves to be held and played with.

Mookie’s brother Cosmo is now over 6 years old and was adopted from an animal shelter in Riverhead, New York.  He was found as a kitten inside someones garbage pail!  We found out he has an untreatable heart condition but you would never know it by the way he runs around our house chasing everybody.  Everyday we have him is a gift and we love him as much as we can.

Misty adopted my wife at the animal shelter in Freeport, New York.  When we went to visit the shelter, we couldn’t decide on who to pick to bring home with us, until Misty jumped into my wife’s arms and went to sleep.  She’s a big teddy bear but seems to prefer to be left alone by the other cats.

Max (top left above) is the first doggie we added to the family.  He was adopted from Bidawee animal shelter in West Hampton.   Max is almost 5 years old now and is the best dog one could ask for.  He loves belly rubs and playing with his little sister Lexi.  The two of them are inseparable.

Lexi was adopted a year later from the same shelter. She was rescued from the beaches of Puerto Rico.  She loves to play fetch and play in the water (Max doesn’t like to get his toes wet :)).  Lexi is a sweetheart who loves to give kisses and chase squirrels and bicycles or rather people riding bicycles.

Last but not least is Lucy who we adopted from the North Shore Animal League Shelter in Port Washington, New York.  She is a beautiful cat and loves to play with her brothers.  She is afraid of her shadow but loves to visit us at night when we are sleeping.

Lucky critters to find such a nice home – do they help with the bread baking, too? We have one shelter cat, one Maine Coon lady, and two former feral cats, one we lured into our house as a kitten, the other adopted us, just showed up and never left the house.

      Hi Karin,
I’m glad you found my site. My 5 cats love to eat…but usually not the bread thankfully. Once in a while they will try to help by watching me mix and bake. I’m always worried one of them will try and stick their little heads in the oven to see what’s up!
Thanks again for visiting and say meow to your furries for me and mine! 🙂

Such a beautiful family of pets! I only have 2, Tezu and Betsy, and they don’t like bread, but I do!
